Pre Plucked Wig
Pre Plucked Wig
A pre-plucked wig refers to a wig that has been customized with a natural-looking hairline. The term "pre-plucked" comes from the practice of plucking or removing some hairs from the wig's hairline to mimic the appearance of natural hair growth. Typically, wigs have a dense hairline or a straight hairline that looks artificial when worn. To make the wig look more realistic, pre-plucked wigs undergo a process where the hair strands are carefully plucked or pulled out from the hairline. This process thins out the hairline, creating a more natural-looking and softer appearance.
How To Care Pre Plucked Wig
Washing: Use a mild shampoo specifically formulated for wigs or a sulfate-free shampoo. Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of shampoo. Gently swish the wig in the water, avoiding any rubbing or twisting. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Conditioning: After washing, apply a wig conditioner or a small amount of leave-in conditioner to the hair. Avoid applying conditioner to the lace or knots. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Drying: Pat the wig gently with a towel to remove excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting the wig. Place the wig on a wig stand or a clean towel and allow it to air dry. Avoid using heat tools or direct sunlight to dry the wig, as it can damage the hair fibers and lace.
Styling: Style the wig using low heat settings if necessary. Avoid high temperatures, as they can melt the lace or damage the hair fibers. Use a wide-toothed comb or a wig brush to detangle the hair, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
Storage: When not in use, store the wig on a wig stand or in a clean, dry place. Avoid storing the wig in direct sunlight or in a humid environment, as it can cause the hair to fade or become frizzy. If possible, store the wig in its original packaging or a wig box to protect it from dust and damage.
